A Fox Newscameraman was killed alongside a Ukrainian colleague on Monday in Ukraine when the vehicle they were traveling in came under fire in the same attack which left a British journalist seriously injured, the network confirmed Tuesday.
Pierre Zakrzewski, 55, an Irish citizen based in London, and Ukrainian journalist Oleksandra 'Sasha' Kuvshynova, 24, were covering Russian's invasion of Ukraine when their vehicle was hit in Horenka, outside of Kyiv, Ukraine.
Kuvshynova's death was confirmed Tuesday afternoon by the Ministry of Defense.
Zakrzewski and Kuvshynova were traveling in the same vehicle as 39-year-old British journalist Benjamin Hall, who also works for Fox News, an was injured in the attack.
'It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we share the news this morning regarding our beloved cameraman Pierre Zakrzewski,' Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott wrote in an email to staff on Tuesday morning.
'Pierre was killed in Horenka, outside of Kyiv, Ukraine.
Pierre was with Benjamin Hall yesterday newsgathering when their vehicle was struck by incoming fire.'
Scott wrote in the memo that the network is awaiting 'more news, which we will share with you when we can, on the condition of our Benjamin Hall.'
Later on Tuesday afternoon, Scott confirmed that Kuvshynova, who had been working as a freelance consultant for the Fox News team in Ukraine, by helping them navigate the city and speak with sources, was also killed in the attack.
'Working around the clock, she helped to share Ukraine's story with the world and we are grateful to her for that,' Fox News anchor Martha MacCallum said on air of Oleksandra Kuvshynova, who went by the name Sasha.
'Our correspondents and our producers say she was hard working, funny, kind and brave, which you have to be to do this kind of work,' she said.

Fox News said the network delayed delivering the news of her death out of respect for her family.
'We offer them the deepest condolences and gratitude for her work,' MacCallum said.
'And we ask you to think of them, to keep them in your prayers as they struggle with the loss of their young daughter. Just 24 years old doing courageous, courageous work.'
Kuvshynova's dream was to connect people around the world and tell their stories, which she fulfilled through journalism, the memo released by Scott read.
She also had a passion for music, art and photography. News teams described her as hard-working, funny, kind and brave.
'Of course, along with the family of Pierre and so many others who have lost loved ones during the war,' MacCallum added.
'We will miss him and we are grateful for the extraordinary work and the opportunity to work with him over the years as well.'
Fox news journalist Lucas Tomlinson shared a picture of himself with Pierre and Oleksandra, who also goes by Sasha, on social media as he paid tribute to his colleagues.
He said the last message he received from Pierre read: 'I will effort to get as much of this on TV to help Ukrainians in every way possible.

'Reporting on this war is a vital public service, and it has already claimed the lives of at least two other journalists in just a few weeks.
